The Magical Musical Squad will be singing at the 8:30 opening of the 2023 Abolition Walk, as well joining in song along the walk on Saturday, October 21, 2023. The walk replicates a portion of the October 21, 1835 nine mile walk of abolitionists from “the brink of the canal” in Canastota to Peterboro to form the New York State Antislavery Society. The 2023 Abolition Walk will commence at 122 Canal Street in Canastota at 9:00, walk 2.7 miles to Clockville for a brief reenactment and the unveiling of interpretive signage, and a 2.7 mile return to Canastota for a party on South Peterboro Street.
